Minnijean Brown
Minnijean Was 16 years old when she entered Little Rock Central High School. Minnijean was the first student to be suspended and then expelled due to retaliation to the harrasment that she endored each day while attending central high school. After attending and graduating Illinois Unviversity, majoring in journalism she beame a social activist. Ms. Brown has been a leader in the black community by making a better life for herself after this tramatic even happened to her. Minnijean is an insporational leader but she stood up for what was right.

Elizibeth Eckford
Elizibeth was only 15 years old when she entered into central high school being harrassed and degraded by a huge mob of white people. White people who did not want these black students to enter their school. Many of thse people opposed intergration and stood by there belifes. Elizebeth was turned away by national guard troopers who were there to prevent the students from entering into the high school. Many of the other students encounted the same issues as these two ladies. After high school Eckford joined the army and earened her G.E.D. Elizebeth was a powerful women and changed the way other people in the black community viewed racism and the horrible harrassment she encountered on her way to school.
